Refund policy

Upon deposit payment and delivery/collection of Hirenchill Events rented items, the customer agrees to all terms and conditions shown in this rental agreement. 



Our Location 

from December our location is updated to 38A kayes Road Pukekohe, Auckland Newzealand 

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY & SAFETY

  1. To ensure the item[s] is/are fully respected, the customer is responsible for the behaviour and safety of their event guests at all times.
  2. The customer is responsible for ensuring the HIRENCHILL EVENTS item[s] is/are prevented from abuse or damage.
  3. Any damage to the venue property incurred during the hire period of a HIRENCHILL EVENT items or items is to the cost of the customer.
  4. Any lost of HIRENCHILL EVENTS items will be charged at a replacement cost and is to the cost of the customer.
  5. The customer is responsible for ensuring onsite representatives are made fully aware of all obligations from this rental agreement and additional item rules provided by HIRENCHILL EVENTS. The customer is responsible for ensuring all guests are aware of any necessary safety issues and/or hazards surrounding the hired items from HIRENCHILL EVENTS.


ADDITIONAL RULES FOR SPECIFIC ITEMS

HIRENCHILL EVENTS will provide additional rules and/or hire agreement terms for certain items hired (e.g. props), which must be followed by the customer.

HIRENCHILL EVENT HIRE RESPONSIBLITES

Subject to the terms of this agreement, we will provide to you the selected item[s], between the stated start and finish dates and times.

PAYMENT DETAILS

PAYMENT
  1. All rental item prices are Exclusive of 15% GST .
  2. Customers May asked to make payments to HIRENCHILL EVENTS via bank transferor as stated.
    Bank details will be provided on the individual customer invoice.
  3. The remaining balance is to be paid on or before the day of item collection and/or delivery.
  4. Additional delivery charges may apply, and these will be provided on the individual customer invoice.
  5. Should the customer be given a discount, this will be stated on the individual customer invoice.
  6. CUSTOMER IS REQUIRED TO CHECK AVAILABILITY OF PRODUCT BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER. 

REFUNDS

IF  IN CASE OF A REFUND we we charge at least 15% restocking & site charges fee please read more details below. 


DEPOSIT
  1. Customers are required to provide  deposit  to secure their item[s],which is calculated at 100% per rented item, which is inclusive of GST.
  2. Products are only booked once deposite is made.
  3. On payment of the deposit, HIRENCHILL EVENTS will keep an item available for the customer for their specified event date.



BOND/SECURITY

  1. Bonds/ Securities have to be paid separately does not include in the price marked on website. 
  2. THIS IS A GUIDE ONLY (it may differ order to order)-  Bond calculation as percentage of the total rent (before any discounts). Customers are asked to provide a minimum bond of $50.00 NZD and maximum bond setting at $500.00 NZD. Within $250.00 NZD, the bond will be $150.00 NZD; between $250.00 NZD and $750.00 the bond would be $300.00 NZD; ABOVE $750.00 NZD, the bond would be $500.00 NZD.  
  3. The bond price may vary depending on the item or quantity of items the customer wishes to hire. The bond price will be outlined on each individual invoice.
  4. The bond will be returned within three working days given the item[s] has/have been returned and inspected to ensure that it/they has/have not been soiled or damaged.
  5. We may ask customer to pay security/ Bond for a package booked. 

  6. Balloons are for customers to tale or dispose after the event. 

  7. Any discount code on the website should not be used for packages. 

RENTAL ARRANGEMENTS

ITEM RENTAL PERIOD
  1. The rental period for an item is 1 to 3 days unless specified.
  2. WE may request to rent an item for 1 day only.
  3. If the customer wishes to extend the number of rental days past  THE AGREED DAYS, the customer will be charged 35% of the item fee [Exclusive of GST], per additional day. The same charge applies if the item[s] is/are returned late.
  4. Pick up on Friday between 11am and 2pm; then return on the next following agreed day warehouse opening hours are for weekend Friday b/w 8 am to 2pm to Monday b/w 8am and 2pm.  If a public holiday should fall on a Monday, the Hirer must return their hired items on Tuesday or as mentioned. If a public holiday should fall on a Friday, the Hirer is to pick up their hired items on Thursday or as mentioned . If the hirer rent the items during weekdays. All products are hired out on a 1-day hire basis. For example, if event is Tuesday you can pickup Monday night & Return Wednesday Morning  or Tuesday to Thursday you can still pick the items up a night before and return next morning of the event date or as agreed. If you wish to extend the rental days to One week, the price will be calculated accordingly 7 depending on availability.


COLLECTION
  1. Customer collection is located at 38A Kayes Road, Pukekohe Auckland . More detailed instructions will be provided prior to the arranged collection/delivery date..
  2. Customers must check that they are happy with their item[s] and notify HIRENCHILL EVENTS  at the time of collection if they observe any prior damage to their item[s].


DELIVERY
  1. Delivery charges are calculated from 38A Kayes Road Pukekohe Auckland.
  2. The delivery may be provided on once location is confirmed. Standard delivery prices available on website.
  3. Please note that the prices quoted on the HIRENCHILL EVENTS website do not include a delivery fee, unless stated otherwise
  4. Please note that some items are for delivery only. Please see the website [hirenchillevents.co.nz] for details on the items that are for delivery only
  5. Help with item set-up is NOT included in the delivery charge. Delivery take place from door-to-door.
  6. Customers must check that they are happy with their item[s] and notify HIRENCHILL EVENTS  at the time of delivery if they observe any prior damage to their item[s].
  7. Bump in is when the Hirer is ready to receive the items without delay.
  8. Bump out is when items are cleaned and packed up by the Hirer and items are ready to be picked up without delay. Any delays will incur an additional charge.
  9. Delivery is strictly a “DROP & GO” service at an easily accessible, ground level or in garage premises. Beyond these locations will incur an extra charge.

Extra charges may apply if:

  1. You wish for your items to be taken beyond ground level of a building
  2. Your event space is more than 20m from where our truck can park or pull up
  3. If your items need to pass via stairs, elevators, escalators or a steep descent.
  4. If you require a large quantity of items, a labour fee may be added to cover for staff time taken to load and unload the truck.
  5. If you require a drop off or pick up outside the hours of 9am-5pm on Fridays and Mondays (e.g. weekends, midnight pick-ups and public holidays etc.)



CANCELLATION POLICY

If the customer wishes to cancel hiring their rental item[s], they must inform HIRENCHILL EVENTS as soon as possible, in writing, in order to be eligible for a refund. Refunds are as follows:

  1. If the customer wishes to cancel hiring their rental item[s], they must inform HIRENCHILL EVENTS  as soon as possible, in writing, in order to be eligible for a refund. Refunds are as follows:
  2. If the customer cancels four weeks or more before their collection/delivery date, their will be no refunded of their deposit, how ever they can request a credit to use with in six months. 
  3. If the customer cancels four to one week from their collection/delivery date, their will be refunded no refund of their deposit.
  4. If the customer cancels less than one week before their collection/delivery date, they will be given no refund of their deposit.
  5. Due to the current state of the global coronavirus pandemic, if an event has to be cancelled due to NZ entering Level 3 or 4, we will offer a credit note valid for a period of up to 6 months from the original booking date. If the customer chooses to cancel completely, they will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.
  6. For Event packages or Wedding packages no refunds are allowed untill or unless exception is given. 


HIRENCHILL EVENTS CANCELLATION
  1. HIRENCHILL EVENTS reserves the right to cancel item collection/delivery should they consider that the customer is unsuitable to take care of the item[s] properly.
  2. HIRENCHILL EVENTS  reserves the right to cancel item collection/delivery should a previous customer return the item in a damaged condition, leaving the item unfit for the next customer.


RESCHEDULING OF HIRE DATE
  1. There is no charge to the customer for changing the date of their event, on the basis that HIRENCHILL EVENTS  have the item[s] available on the new date.
  2. HIRENCHILL EVENTS must be informed 5 days prior to the collection/delivery date if the customer wishes to change their collection/delivery date.
  3. Customers may change the date of their event up to two times.



CARE OF ITEMS


LED Light Safety Instructions

Upon deposit payment and delivery/collection of HIRENCHILL EVENTS LED Lights, the customer agrees to follow the following LED OR NEON Light Safety Instructions.

  1. Please be aware that the LED lights supplied are made of METAL OR ACRYLIC . Gloves and safety glasses must be worn at all times when touching the apparatus. This includes any installing or removing of lights and/or other maintenance. Lights must be removed extremely gently to avoid any scratches or damage.
  2. Power Sources
    1. ‘LOVE’ LED lights (1.5m high) can be connected directly to a power source of 220v.
    2. Letter-shaped LED lights (1m high) must not be connected to a power source of 220v unless attached to a transformer that HIRENCHILL EVENTS  provides first.
    3. Number-shaped LED lights (1.3m high) must not be connected to a power source of 220v unless attached to a transformer that HIRENCHILL EVENTS  provides first.
  3. Precaution must be taken with the LED lights on windy days. HIRENCHILL EVENTS  reserves the right to cancel the rental of LED letters should they believe that the item[s] could be damaged from weather conditions and/or dangerous to the customer and his or her guests.
  4. LED lights must not be used outdoors if it is raining. HIRENCHILL EVENTS  reserves the right to cancel the rental of LED letters should they believe that the item[s] could be damaged from weather conditions and/or dangerous to the customer and his or her guests.
  5. Children and/or animals must be supervised at all times around the LED lights, to avoid any unnecessary injury or damage to the lights.
  6. Guests should not stand close to or lean on the LED lights, to avoid any unnecessary injury.
  7. Photos should not be taken in close proximity to the LED lights to avoid any unnecessary injury.
  8. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold HIRENCHILL EVENTS harmless for any claims from the customer’s use or misuse of the LED Lights, including any third parties for loss, injury and damage to persons or items/property arising out of the customer’s negligence or operation including legal costs incurred in defence of such claims.


CLEANING
  1. HIRENCHILL EVENTS  items are expected to be returned in the same condition as they were collected/delivered.
  2. All items must be cleaned properly before returning to HIRENCHILL EVENTS 

SOILED AND/OR DAMAGED ITEMS
  1. Customers may be charged 100% of their bond if an item is returned in a soiled condition.
  2. Customers will be charged part or all of their bond if an item is returned damaged. The bond deduction will be determined by HIRENCHILL EVENTS , depending on the extent of the damage.
  3. Customers must inform HIRENCHILL EVENTS  if they are aware of any damage to an item.
  4. Any lost of HIRENCHILL EVENTS  items will be charged at a replacement cost and is to the cost of the customer.

This rental agreement forms the sole agreement between the customer and HIRENCHILL EVENTS  The customer agrees to indemnify and hold HIRENCHILL EVENTS  harmless for any claims from the customer’s use or misuse, including any third parties for loss, injury and damage to persons or items/property arising out of the customers negligence or operation including legal costs incurred in defence of such claims.
